Week at a Glance Feb 22-26

Reading/Literature: We are beginning a new unit that will focus on stories from different cultures.


Bible: We are continuing to study Joseph’s life. The memory verse is Genesis 50:20


Math: We are finishing the measurement unit. There will be a test on Thursday.


Social Studies: We are beginning a unit studying Ontario.


French: We are learning the parts of the face. We are having a quiz on Wednesday. I put the vocab on our webpage.


Music: Students need to choose a song to play as their final performance piece.

Week of February 16-19

Writing: We are completing a project where we are making audiobooks. Each student needs to finish their story Wednesday. We are also finishing our speeches on Wednesday.


Math: We will be studying Capacity and Mass this week. There is also a Math Contest for some of the students on Wednesday.


Bible: We are continuing to study Joseph’s life. The memory verse is Genesis 50:20.


Music: We will be focusing on learning 43, 56, and 117.


French: We will be learning the parts of the face.


Many of our students will be participating in the Fine Arts Festival on Thursday. Have fun and honour God.

Computers Feb 16

You have two tasks to complete!

1. Go to the Olympic website and fill in your chart with the medal standings as of today.

2. Go to the Brock Webpage and work on a practice test with a partner. (Kangaroo Gr. 3/4, 2005)

OR

Do typing lessons on GS Typing Tutor. (You have to acheive a score of 10 words per minute to pass the lesson.)

Remember your manners in the computer lab and have fun!

This Week

Bible: We are beginning the story of Joseph. Our memory verses are Romans 12:1-2.
Math: We will be counting money this week!
Language: Speeches! They need to be ready for Thursday.
Science: Quiz Tuesday - All the information comes from the nervous system package.
French: Quiz Wednesday - Students need to be able to say how the clowns feel.

We are having a Valentines day party on Thursday. I will send home a class list. If you send valentines, make sure that each student receives one.

I have noticed that some students consistently do not bring planners to use at school. Beginning this week students will write upcoming events on paper if they do not have their planners. These papers will need to be signed. This is to encourage planner use.

1.My nephew who's a jeweller has jewellery in shapes of mushrooms, pigeons, cocoons, roosters, and a goose, but the one that caught my eye was a cuckoo clock.-Jesse
