Week at a Glance
Bible: In Bible we are finishing Jacob's life. We will have a quiz Friday. The memory verse is Romans 12:1
Math: We are finishing graphing and having a test Thursday.
Reading: This week we are going to be studying poems. Each student will be assigned a poem to memorize and present to the class Monday.
Science: We are conducting an experiment to see how quickly we can react. We are being amazing at our nervous system.
French: We are learning how to express our emotions.
Music: Bring recorders for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please bring in items to make "Junk Structures" on Thursday! Good items would be cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, etc.

This Week's News
We are excited to welcome Linnie and Lisa to our class. We want to do everything that we can to be welcoming and hospitable to them.
Math: We have finished the material for the multiplication and division unit. I sent home a test study sheet that is due Wednesday. If you can answer the questions on that page, you can answer the questions on the test.
Bible: Our memory verse this week is 1 Peter 1:3. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"
Science: We have set a due date for the good copy of the science story -- January 25. We'll be investigating bones and muscles this week.
Reading: On Wednesday we will have some informal reader's theatre presentations. Keep reading AR books for points!
Music: We have music Tuesday and Wednesday. On those days students need to have their recorders in class. The practice fingers are due next week.
French: We are studying the emotions of clowns. Bobo est confus, fatigue, timide, surpris, nerveux, fache, triste, ou content. Bibi est confuse, fatigee, timide, surprise, nerveuse, fachee, triste, ou contente.
Don't forget that Wednesday is dress like a book character day! Have a great week!

Some Class Scluptures
This week we created sculptures. Sculptures are 3D shapes. For our sculptures we took a 2D rectangle, cut shapes into it, and coloured lines and shapes onto it. Then we bent, folded and glued the parts together to make our fabulous sculptures. Enjoy them!
